Haapsalu Vocational Education and Training Centre (HKHK) offers initial vocational training, both for basic school graduates and adult students. In autumn 2016, the school started with approximately 800 students – 72% of them post-basic school students and 28% adult learners. The school has accredited curricula in various fields like Care Worker, Tourism, Catering and Hospitality, Information and Communication Technology, Accounting, and Textile Work.
The school is located in a summer resort region with lots of spas and a big rehabilitation centre for disabled persons. The Lääne County regional development plan for the period of 2015-2020 foresees the advanced development of the health sector and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among its citizens. To meet the needs of the local labour market, a substantial portion of our curricula relates to specialities like care work, hospitality, catering and health services, cook, hotel management, and catering arrangement.
