Asta Lassila, one of the teachers involved with our HPP project, had the opportunity to participate and give a presentation at the 10th IUHPE European Conference and International Forum for Health Promotion Research that took place on 24. – 26.9.2018 in Trondheim, Norway.
The theme of the conference was Implementing Health Promotion in the Life Course and it brought together participants from 26 different countries, including noted professors of Health Promotion, such as Bjarne Bruun Jensen, Maurice Mittelmark et al. as keynote speakers. The focus of this conference, which last took place six years ago, covered the themes of health promotion in the health services and health promoting practices, co-creation, health literacy, salutogenesis and sustainable health promotion, among others.
Asta participated in a session on collaboration, co-production and co-creation of health promotion, where she gave an oral presentation “The significance of user involvement highlighted in the future Health Promotion” which presented the results of the HPP survey and the co-development of the Health Promotion curriculum in Estonia and Finland.
The conference provided reassurance once again that the content and aims of the HPP project respond to the current focuses of Health Promotion at the international level.
